My research notes are things that I deem interesting enough to write about, but not fleshed out enough to warrant a full report. Some entries focus on The Illinois Project and its evolving lore; others examine real places, infrastructure, and metropolitan patterns in Chicagoland. Together, they serve as a running record of ideas, details, and smaller studies that inform the larger work of the site.
These notes are more focused than a casual blog post, but less formal than a full project page or essay. They are meant to preserve useful observations, document smaller lines of thought, and provide a space for material that might otherwise remain scattered, unfinished, or unpublished.
