This site is a digital archive for long-term creative and research work centered on infrastructure, transportation, urban landscapes, and regional identity in and around Chicagoland and beyond.
Its main focus is The Illinois Project, a fictional Chicagoland-based universe in Roblox, alongside maps, essays, visual media, and other independent projects.
A fictional regional universe built in Roblox based on Chicagoland and its surrounding landscapes. TIP reimagines counties, towns, transportation systems, and institutions through the logic of real geography, infrastructure, and metropolitan development.
A regional visual survey of municipal street sign styles across the Chicago area. This project documents patterns in local signage, materials, mounting practices, and design identity across dozens of communities.
My name is Jamie. I am an undergraduate urban planning student. Train155 is my online alias, which I have used for my work online since 2016. This site serves as the public home for projects focused on transportation, infrastructure, regional systems, and worldbuilding. What began in Roblox has grown into a broader archive of research, mapping, and long-term creative work.
Infrastructure and regional landscapes are often treated as background, even though they shape everyday life at every scale. Roads, railways, municipal borders, signage, industrial districts, and commuter networks all tell stories about how places develop. My work is built around the idea that these systems deserve close attention, whether through research, mapping, documentation, or fictional reconstruction.
